We're on our way to San Jose!

Welcome to our Costa Rica blog!  That's me, Dr.C, with my bags in my backyard before departing.  And below is a picture of Miss OB at Logan airport in Boston.  We are excited to share our trip with you on this blog, but be forewarned that we are both novice bloggers so this will not be the most sophisticated one you ever see!

Miss OB and I are on our first flight, to Dallas, as I type.   So far so good! In Dallas we will connect to our flight to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica.  We are going to be in CR for two weeks and we have a jam-packed itinerary of scientific field research, exploration and fun planned.
First we will spend one day in San Jose so we can explore the city a little bit.  Then we will meet up with our team from Earthwatch and travel to the coffee-growing region where we will be working for a week as volunteers conducting research about farming practices.  After Earthwatch we are going to Monteverde, which is in the rainforest, for two days, and then to Fortuna, site of the famous Arenal Volcano, for three days, before we make our way back to San Jose and then home to Boston.

  3. HI miss! Guess who?
I wish I was there with you, but I guess I'll just wish you a great time, and succeed in what you're going to do.
